The Market St. walking park compliments the existing park facilities by providing a leisurely area for relaxing while still being in the Lowertown tourist district. The additional park space will encourage tourists to remain in the area longer and provides an opportunity for guests to learn more about Gananoque from the included information plaques.

A sculpture: “Where Two River’s Meet” is the proposed central feature of the park. The sculpture is a stylized representation of the shoreline where the Gananoque and St. Lawrence rivers meet.

A unique opportunity is available to re-purpose and adapt the Machar St. Bridge into various park structures, including the light standards, information stands, and gateways. More details in the images below.
